Gossamer Architecture
"An artist is a dreamer consenting to dream of the actual world."
---George Santayana
Photo from Daici Ano for architecturalrecord.com via Becky at Design Public:
"This structure glows in a forest outside of Tokyo like a delicate lantern. The wooden horizontal lines of varied widths contrast beautifully with the verticality of the sculptural trees, and the proportions are perfection. It was designed by architects Makoto Takei and Chie Nabeshima of Takei Nabeshima Architects (TNA) in Tokyo."
It would no doubt also look quite at home at the heart of a bamboo grove.
